The EBAN Congress, along with the Award Ceremony, is the leading awareness raising event for the early stage investor community in Europe. The theme of the event is "A Cross-Road for Continents, Cultures and Early Stage Investors" and aims to share best practices, raise awareness and build relations among investors and other financial actors involved in closing the equity gap and interested in collaborating and investing together.
Among this year's themes:

* What's hot and what's not: Investment sectors of interest to early stage investors and other transforming initiatives
* The changing face of VC in Europe, a special presentation from the European Venture Capital Association
* Developing successful exit opportunities
* Raising an Early Stage Fund: From an Angel Network to a fund
* Angels reflecting on their last investment year
* Break-outs around the following themes: Creating winning national ecosystems; Collaboration between business angels and seed funds; Cross border investing: networks and initiatives; How to get started - making your first investments; Universities and early stage investing.

This event will offer unlimited numbers of networking and learning opportunities, including a cruise on the Bosphorus, a cocktail party and a gala dinner organized in the framework of the 5th EBAN Award Ceremony. Other pre and post event activities will also be available.

Over 300 participants from all over Europe and the nearby Eurasian region are expected in the European Capital of Culture 2010 Istanbul!
